It was a dark & stormy night...

Very dark & even more stormy.  The winds were ferocious.  The power went off...then on...then off...then on...then off...then on...and luckily stayed on the rest of the night.  At times it sounded as if the roof would cave in.  I got no sleep.  Sunny Cat was crying half of the night, not knowing what was going on.

It's bitter cold & raining...UGLY weather.  I really HATE the weather here in Ohio.  Actually, I hate Ohio, but that's another story.  I guess I have to be grateful that we're not on the East Coast where it's even worse.  I couldn't handle even worse.  I just could not handle it.

In the mountains south of here it's snowing.  Blizzard conditions.  You'd just have to shoot me.

The photo above was from a dare I had from my dear friend Tracy when we first moved to this awful place called Ohio.

She went to Huntington Beach & made a Sand Angel.  I had to go out in the icky snow & make a Snow Angel.  She got the better part of that dare for sure.

That will be the last snow angel I ever make.  Guaranteed.

I can still hear the winds & rain battering the house.
I'm thinking I'd like to have the house lift up & land in Oz.  Or Southern CA...that would be even better.

I'm also sending tons of positive energy to those who have it so much worse than we do...
I don't know how you endure it...
Hang in there.

  1. Please be safe and sound, Debbie, and hold tight to kitty for me! Hugs to you,

  2. :( Poor Debbie! I will be heading to Ohio, Dayton to be exact, Nov. 13 for a week. Sure wish I could see you! And although I hate the dreariness, I don't hate Ohio.

  3. Ah I'm glad you made it through safely. We have partial power, but at least the furnace and sump pump are working. I've lived here all my life and don't hate it. I think if I did I wouldn't stay.
